Many electric scooter owners have this confusion. The brakes of a newly bought electric scooter will not be very sensitive after riding for long. Although it is not a major problem, it is easy to go wrong in case of an emergency, but because of this minor problem, repair it The shop felt unnecessary. Today we will talk about the principle of electric scooter brakes and how to fix the problems.

The brakes of the electric bike are not working for a while? Let's take a look at the principle of electric scooter braking and how to repair it

At present, the electric scooter brakes on the market mainly adopt three kinds of brake, drum brake and disc brake.

1. Rising brake

Raising brakes are more common in electric bicycles. Many new national standard electric bicycles now use this braking method. The brake line is pulled, and the brake block on the other side is stretched to achieve the purpose of braking. This braking method has a very good braking effect. There will be no problems, unless you often run in bad road conditions or frequently brake suddenly.

2.Drum brake

The principle of drum brake braking is to open the brake cable or brake lever, and the two brakes are simultaneously spread out and close to the brake ring to achieve the braking effect!

If the brake method of the electric scooter is drum brake, the repair is actually very simple. After removing the wheel, it will be down with one buckle with both hands. When installing, the repair is completed by folding the two hands 90 degrees upwards.

3. Disc brakes

Many larger electric scooters use disc brakes. The principle is to use hydraulic oil to push the brake pads against the stainless steel pads to brake.

To repair the disc brake, first check whether the brake fluid of the disc brake should be changed and whether the brake fluid leakage is good. If it does not leak, just loosen the oil drain screw. The second is to see if there are bubbles in the oil flowing out, and if so, drain the oil until there are no bubbles; the last is to check whether the brake lever is under pressure, and if there is no pressure, just open the air exhaust screw on the lower pump.
